Bad weather & bad calls

Wow.
What a weekend.
On Saturday, the wind howled. It knocked out the power. Then it teased us by coming and going intermittently. I was able to peruse a few blogs, but not able to comment or post before the power went out again for good.

We spent the weekend playing board games and making JiffyPop in the fireplace.

We thought we might miss the (not so)Super Bowl because of the outage, but our neighbors came to the rescue! We watched the game from the comfort of their RV. There were 15 people crammed into a space normally meant for, maybe, 4. But we made the best of it. During exciting moments I thought, for sure, the RV was going to topple onto its side from all the jumping around.

Our power was fully restored very early Monday morning. Some people may think a power outage of 2 days is really bad, but it was nothing compared to the Inaugrual Day Storm
of 1993. That time, we were without power for SIX DAYS!

The forecast is FINALLY looking good.

I was seriously considering purchasing a light. Now, maybe, I won't have to.
