Things that go BOOM!

Last night I tried to audio post part of the neighborhood fireworks show, but it was so loud that it didn't turn out. It was awesome, rivaling a professional display. My ears are still ringing.

Hubs pulled out the big guns this year, spent a ridiculous amount of money, and wowed us once again. My personal favorites are the HUGE 4" mortars with the breaks that make a heart shaped burst....so cool. With the combined artillery of the major pyros in the neighborhood, the show lasted quite a long time. We finally got out the brooms around 12:30, filling up 3 contractor size garbage bags. My back yard was littered with several dozen huge rocket sticks. We will continue picking up for the next week or so, as things get blown off roofs and out of trees.

He loves firework so much that we plan on attending The Celebration of Light in Vancouver next year for our vacation. We will spend the days siteseeing the Vancouver area and the nights watching the sky. Its beautiful. A pyrotechnic art show. I highly reccomend it.

Hubs is passing on his love of explosives to Blaine.Last night she lit her first mortar and blew up a basket of turnips and 4 Barbie dolls.
