The King, a hammer, interactive tv and a sad, sad dog....

The King & I opened on Friday night to a sold out crowd. It was an awesome performance! I had NO IDEA that a high school play would be SO GOOD. It was actually better than some professional theater I have paid an arm and leg to see. I was very impressed. Blaine, of course, was brilliant.

There are two dress rehearsals this week and then shows all this weekend. A two weekend run. I'm sure Blaine will be happy to have her little life back. I don't think she had ANY idea how time consuming it would be...even after we told her. I suppose thats a hard one to realize. Time for an 11 year old is infinite....they always think they have time for everything they want to do. Saturday is going to be the worst...Ratapalooza, track sign-ups, and then an evening show...she'll be exhausted. I've told her that she can skip guitar practice for a day or so if she wants to. We have held off on lessons for the month of March. You can only spread yourself so thin. I don't see how people with more than one kid do it....I can barely keep up with one!!

After my parents got back from New Orleans, all they have talked about is wanting to do more volunteering. They are looking into an organization called Volunteers for Peace. It looks as though they may be hitting the road again this summer. Maybe even going to Latin America. I think they are uber cool.

I spent most of this morning yelling at the tv. I know it is counterproductive and a waste of time, but it makes me feel better. What an asswipe! Or is that ass-wipe? Or ass wipe? Whatever. Anyway....hes a giant one. I don't know why yelling at the tv makes me feel better...I suppose that because, in the privacy of my own home, I can say what I'd really like to happen to that dick face....Or is that dick-face? Or dickface? Whatever. Hes a giant one. At least I got some clothes folded while I was yelling.

Hubs sold our beloved Behemoth. For $200. She didn't even run. He had done all he could for her. He couldn't keep her alive anymore.

I think Casper is the saddest of all. Just hearing the words "Go for a ride?!", always sent him into a tizzy because he knew he was going to the beach in the truck. Hubs swears he'll buy Casper a new one soon. And by new, I mean new to us. Casper has been mopey since she was towed away. He's not allowed in my car because, according to Hubs, I'm a big 'ol meany, and I just don't appreciate the beauty of downy white dog fur.

Anyway....
I'm going to bed...because, in my dreams real laser beams shoot out of my eyes and fry that butt munch....Or is that butt-munch? Or buttmunch? Whatever. Hes a giant one.
